Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge #112 Reminder

Hello Everyone!

This week is the reminder of our Challenge #112 over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog and the theme is “Anything Goes Option Distressed edges”.

So come and join the fun and play with us, you can participate with any image you want and you have a chance to win some great images!

Today I created a card for my Design Team inspiration with the image Img805 Fairy

And before I go into details about my cards I would like to take a moment and apologize to all my crafty friends and fellow bloggers for not being able to visit them as often as I would like to…
Life takes over crafting sometimes and doesn’t allow us to visit each other so often!
And this is one of these times now, the little time I have goes to crafting and to DT duties.
I just want to let everyone know that I am following you and your beautiful creations, I just don’t have the possibility to comment right now… I hope that you will not hold it against me and continue to visit me and follow my creations as well.
Thank you all so much for your understanding! This community amazes me more and more everyday with the kindness and positive energy of all my fellow crafters and bloggers.
And now back to my blog post

I printed the image on Neenah Solar white card stock and
colored with my alcohol markers and my pencils.
I also used my glitter gel pens and a white Posca pen for the highlights.
I then distressed the edges around the image, and since I don’t have
the adequate tool I used the edges of my scissors to create this effect.
I used pattern papers from Panduro Hobby and distressed them as well
before adhering them on my card base.
The sentiment is a clear stamp that was part of a set as
a free gift in a papercrafting magazine,
I die cut it with a Sizzix circle die and also distressed around it.
To finish off my card I added some sequins from Søstrene Grene

So there is my card for today,

I had a lot of fun creating it and I hope you like it!

Thank you for visiting!

xoxo Olga

  4. Sometimes think the edge of scissors might work better? You know the little distress edge tools are also called thread cutters and are often really cheap from sewing shops? Just for info. Never worry about being busy with life, it happens to everyone 🙂
