MFT Superstar Clean and Simple genius

Hello Everyone!

Today I would like to share 2 cards in 2 separate posts as I would like to participate in the My Favourite Things Superstar Card Contest

This one is the first card that I would like to share with you and that I will enter in the MFTstamps Superstar Clean and Simple genius Category.

I love creating CAS cards but this time I decided to really go for a Clean and Simple design even for me and created a one layer card.
I made a card base using watercolor paper in 300 g/m2 and stamped on the bottom right of the card the little Mermaid and the sentiment from the Mermazing Stamp set from My Favorite Things with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I then watercolored the image with Derwent Inktense pencils and after it was completely dry I covered the little mermaid with Drawing Gum masking liquid.
Once it was dry I used the sploshing technique and Distress Ink Salty Ocean to create the background. I then used an eraser and took away the masking liquid from the image.
To finish the card I used some Diamond Stickles on the star on her hair and her tail, and added some blue star sequins around her.

I am very happy on how it turned out as I usually don’t create one layer cards and I think I will try this technique more often.

So there is my card for today,
I had so much fun creating it and I hope you like it,

Thank you so much for visiting,

I would like to enter my card to
