I love creating with digital papers and images! they are so versatile and you are able to size them up or down at will!
When I saw these digital papers, window fronts and window layers I knew at once that I wanted to create a shaker card. The shaker elements, in this case micro beads in white and blue witch create the perfect snow.
I always use Microsoft Word to print the images and papers, so to create the front of my panel I added the window frame in front of the digital paper that looks like a wood wall, I also made sure that the window layer I would put behind the window was the correct size and printed it separately.
You have the choice between 4 window views and 4 window layers. I chose the one with the flowers and the Deers.
After I printed everything I cut out with an exacto knife the windows, adhered clear acetate on the back, added foam tape around the entire border of the window cutout on the back, I made sure that there aren’t any gaps in the tape where the micro beads would come out after the card is assembled. I also added foam tape around the hole panel to keep everything sturdy.
I then adhered the window layer directly on the Kraft card base, making sure it was on the correct spot. I added the beads on the window layer so I could be able to see where to adhere the front panel.
I also used a graphite pencil in 2B around the window frame to add some dimension and distress ink on the ” wood wall” to also add some dimension.
For the sentiment I used These digital sentiments by our sponsor. After I printed the one I wanted to use I cut around and used distress ink to make it fit with the rest of the card, and adhered it with foam tape. I finished the card by adding sequins with some glossy accent.
