Hello Everyone and welcome back to my blog!
Today I am sharing with you my Design Team inspiration cards that I created for the June challenge over at the Christmas cards Facebook group and the theme is “Anything goes – Option Christmas balls ornaments”
I love using my watercolors and create fun illustrations, and this month was perfect for me to create my own Christmas balls ornaments.
In this case I have used a thick cold pressed watercolor paper (200g/m2) and Prima Marketing Watercolor Confections. The brushes I have used are from Ranger.
I trimmed two panels measuring 8x10cm and then I started by coloring the branches with a thin round brush by mixing the “green apple” and the “sailor” colors.
Then I drew the ornaments with a graphite pencil and for one card I colored them by combining the “candy” and the “carrot” colors, and for the second one I used “sailor” and “breeze” colors.
Once they were dry I drew the lines and the caps of the balls using a black pen. I then used a black alcohol marker around the panel to create a thin frame and adhered them on a white recycled card base.
