The Coloring Challenge Road Trip online edition Day 2

Hello Everyone and welcome back to my blog,

Back in January I took a class offered by Online Card Classes and Kathy Racoosin from The Daily Marker.

Kathy is doing Road Trips offering classes about colouring where many crafters and card makers attend so I was very excited and happy when I learned she was doing an online class.

I took the Coloring challenge road trip online edition where she teaches in depth tips and tricks about colouring, and below are the cards I created on Day 2.

Day 2 is all about adding texture to your images and background.

For the first card I used a free digital image by Elisabeth Bell. I printed it on Neenah Solar white cardstock and coloured it using alcohol markers and my polychromos pencils.

I matted the image with black cardstock and adhered it on a white card base.

For the sentiment I used a chipboard word.

For the second card I used a free digital image by Making Cards & Papercraft Magazine.

I printed it on mixed media paper and coloured it using alcohol markers and my polychromos pencils.

I stamped a sentiment by Simon says stamp with Versafine black ink and matted the image with black cardstock. I adhered a strip of pink cardstock on a white card base and the matted image.

I had so much fun learnings tips and tricks from Kathy’s class and I highly recommend it.

Please consider subscribing to my blog so you can see more of my creations.

Feel free to pin the images on your Pinterest board for later reference and inspiration.

Thank you for visiting!

  1. Gorgeous coloring, Olga! Beautiful texture! I took that class – It really made me much more comfortable with coloring, even though I didn’t do much of the homework! I’m glad you are enjoying it.
